She set about verifying the line one generation at a time, to meet the Genealogical Proof Standard. Love that she didn’t read bullets off a slide we could read ourselves. Pace was excellent.Organization logical. I’m 84 and have been dabbling in genealogy over 50 years. My mom’s family was in New York since 1635 and intermarried with Huguenot, Dutch, Walloon, etc. families. I’ve gone back to Eleanor and Charlemagne, but without so much certainty and really appreciate the effort Marie has expended. Brava!
What a fascinating webinar. Yvette was clearly determined to follow her ancestors until she found royalty. I am certainly not at that stage in my genealogy journey but it was amazing to see how far Yvette was able to go with her knowledge and expertise. Thank you

This was a truly fascinating presentation, especially since I had not read any of her blog posts, so was not even familiar with the effort put in so far. I thought that many of the older documents shown were true gems. I already know that I have some royal lines, as a descendant of many who settled here in the 1600s in Virginia, New York, and various states in the Northeast, but I doubt I would have the patience or sufficient mobility to undertake a similar effort to prove each generation.

Entertaining as well as informative. Encouragement to continue my own personal work of discovery related to Salem 1691/92 with illustrations of how to best present the information to family members who may not be as keen on genealogy but need to know the family history. Along with Blaine, Yvette is one presenter I plan to ensure I view each and every time she appears – never dull or boring!
