The webinar on DNA testing was informative. My knowledge of DNA testing is minimal, but this presentation gave me a start on building a foundation of understanding. It was interesting to see how a DNA “Detective” can seek results from descendants to provide enough information to reconstruct a high percentage of their predecessors.
Our DNA matches can't really help us if we don't know who they are. But we also need to ask ourselves what the match is telling us and what evidence it can provide for our genealogical research.
