Excellent, great instructions on navigating difficult sites. I already found my 3X great-grandfather’s obituary in 1891 on Canadiana. And articles about his troubled son.
Program had some new and good search info for me to try later. Ancestor (female) arrived in New York abut 1905 and then went to Canada. Traces of her have not been fruitful nor have any searches through website for Canada. Keep on Searching.
Janice Nickerson, thank you for another fabulous presentation. The knowledge you have imparted will assist us in the search for genealogical records for our Ontario ancestors on these six more free websites. Janice, you are in the top tier of my favourite Ontario family history presenters. 🙂
Very informative webinar on the use of the Canadian websites and what type of records they have. Very good syllabus that will go in my Canada tool box, for future reference.
Janice’s conversational tone, together with an easy to understand detailed presentation, helps make genealogy research a most enjoyable and rewarding experience!
A deep dive into websites, that we use usually only use for special information, opened up a whole world of pertinent information in our ability to gather a vast picture of our ancestors. It spurs you on to dig deeper. It’s so well done.
It is a very detailed seminar. As Janet mentioned, she could do a whole seminar on just one. It was a great overview of what is available, and she is; apparently, a true expert in this field. I highly recommend Ontario record searchers to seek her training.
Very informative webinar. Very interested in having more webinars in researching Canadian archives. Thank you!!!
