About this webinar

Often the more we learn about a topic the more we overcomplicate the application of that knowledge. Sometimes we need to step back and distill that knowledge down to just the essential parts to make it useful and actionable. Let’s try that with DNA.

Thank you for another interesting video. I always enjoy them.

I do disagree with one thought in this video, though. Sometimes one *can* have the same genealogical relationship with a really young person and a very old person. There is a similar situation in a distant relative’s tree. There are 51 years between the father’s first child and his last child. If that first child had a child at 16 years of age and the youngest child had a child at age 40(which is common in their social circle), there would be a 75 year age difference between those first cousins.

I think using age as a basis to assume cousin relationship levels can lead to a wrong assumption.

Keep up the good work. I look forward to your next video. 🙂

All the tools are overwhelming! I watched this yesterday and worked on some of the topics this morning. Realized I can make a lot of progress by following the steps. Had not paid much attention to ethnicity before. Had some “lightbulb” moments this morning. Thank you.
