Create your own family channel to store your videos as a backup and then share with your family. The channel can be secure so only family members see the videos. Comments can be made by family members at the bottom of the video for other family members to see. Create videos retelling family history and add these new videos to your channel. In this session I will show you how to • Create your own secure YouTube channel • Upload videos • Organize videos with Playlists • Find videos on areas family lived to add to your channel • Share videos/channel with family members • Create videos from PowerPoints • Make videos recording your family history • We will also discuss ideas for family history videos, location and length.

Thank you so much- great webinar! I have been considering adding video to my blog and this is a great way to do it. Appreciate how you went through the steps and even included info for Macs- we often get left out. Very organized presentation and fantastic handout to help us not forget a step. The instructions were easy to follow. I wish she had created more genealogy related videos to give us some inspiration and examples on what can be done.
The was too much focus on basic Powerpoint mechanics. I would have preferred more time spent in PowerPoint features useful tip when using it with to YouTube . I expected more on YouTube.
The webinar was very good. Would enjoy listening to this speaker again. Will have to listen to it when I can finally download a sylllabus.

Very interesting subject! I never thought about sharing family history to Youtube for my daughters and extended family. This would be a great way for them to learn about our ancestry. They already watch videos on most social media platforms. Now that I know you can have more than one channel and keep it unlisted is great. I’m going to start working on a couple channels right away! Thank you for this information!
