About this webinar

Learn about Jewish record collections across Ancestry.com, FamilySearch, Findmypast and MyHeritage–and JewishGen! This comparative analysis tells you not only what records are where, but recommends best versions of similar record collections and additional tools on each site that are especially relevant to researching Jewish ancestors. Sunny Morton, expert on the “giant” genealogy websites, teams up with Ellen Kowitt, Jewish records expert, to bring two knowledgeable voices to this important topic.

I watched this because my husband has Jewish ancestors about whom I’m trying to find out more. We are both Catholic, so the Jewish faith and many of the terms mentioned in this webinar are foreign to me. I got a good sense of what information is available on the various sites, but some of the specific terms were beyond me.

Good comparison. Covered a lot of details. No comments on who is better, but there were comments on how to make the best use of collaborations (when the database is in two places).
