Vidar Øverlie

Vidar Øverlie, Master of Science in Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, has been pursuing his family history research for more than 50 years. He is a member of genealogy societies in Norway, New Zealand, USA and Sweden. Since purchasing his first DNA kit in 2006, he has frequently used genetic genealogy to enhance his research. In addition to his genealogy blog, Vidars slektsblogg, he is a renowned lecturer on genealogy topics at societies and schools. He has dedicated his retirement to helping others to find their Norwegian ancestors.
