I love the way he does his presentations. Very relatable, always feel like he's speaking directly to me. And so full of information; fabulous job, as always!
Fantastic and very helpful.
I missed something, why is Geoff doing another DNA test? Did he not do this ages ago? Jeanne Kerr
Hi Jeanne - this time it is a mtDNA test. I've previously done the autosomal and ydna tests.
I am so very glad to finally hear someone *not* discouraging mtDNA testing! Thank you!
Great presentation both in style and content! Thank you for awakening me to new research strategies!
Glad to finally see Michael added to Legacy FT Webinars. There are very few applied mtDNA case studies, so it is great to finally have one to point to when I'm approaching potential testers for mtDNA.
The presentation was very clear and concise. It was very informative, and I learned so much. I had never considered a Mt DNA test a necessity, until now. I have Norwegian ancestors and the OLSON surname is very common. It comes from both my father and mother. Perhaps this test could sort out any matches on my mother's side that aren't Norwegian. I know there is at least one, Barth ancestor (probably German)..
I love Lacopo's case studies and how they clarify the meaning that can be derived from the various DNA tests. Excellent translation of science for the layperson!
