This webinar/seminar was excellent because the person was so knowledgeable as well, she had a great attituded – you could tell she was excited about sharing her knowledge and she gave a lot of great advice to help others research their family history. I will continue to follow her work, and her advice.

Dr. Shelley’s presentation is inspirational. Oral history is very important in my family. Using oral history with records can open brick walls if you have a strategy, stay flexible, ask for help, and go beyond online sources. I participated in the Mildred Brand case with the Nicka Smith group. This story continues to unfold and presents a powerful example of protracted research.

Interesting webinar about what you hear from oral history and how to prove it from records. Enjoyed listening to her methods.
