Katie is currently serving as the President of the East Valley Chapter of the Family History Society of Arizona, and President for the Family History Society of Arizona. Katie became her family historian in 2008. She has attended many genealogy workshops and seminars and has been giving presentations to genealogy clubs and societies in Arizona and California since 2011. Her genealogy research has taken her back to her 7th great grandparents in this country. Although not Mayflower passengers, her ancestors were some of the earliest pioneers in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. In 2018, she discovered first cousins that she was unaware of due to a split in her mother’s family in the 1930s. Like her passion for technology, genealogy presents intriguing puzzles to solve.
She is an entrepreneur who owns and operates a business called Kate’s Computer Clinic. She repairs, installs, and teaches personal computers, both Windows-based and all Apple products.
