About this webinar
The end of the nineteenth century witnessed the transformation of the United States from a developing nation into a global power. Discover your ancestors that served in the war with Spain along with records of the Boxer Rebellion (1900) and the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902) in which United States troops participation on land and sea. This lecture focuses on the many records at the National Archives and other research facilities covering all three military conflicts.

Fantastic presentation!! My grandfather supposedly fought in the Spanish American War in Cuba but I have spent years trying to prove this fact, This presentation has renewed my interest with some new sources.

Great. For these wars, I had no prior knowledge. Boy this sure opened up many avenues. He is a great speaker.
I have some records of my g-grandfather's service in this war. This was very helpful!
I have to look at his Civil War web's.
I loved the obvious infectious passion the speaker had for his subject and the breadth of search techniques he shared with someone like me, a beginner.
I shied away from military research forever. But I had a chance to hear Michael Strauss a couple of times this year. Now, I will listen to anything he lectures about. Awesome.
