Have you ever wondered if there was more to an ancestor’s home address or workplace address? Did you know that in the early 20th century many US cities reconfigured their “grid” resulting in new addresses? Do you know why certain streets simply seem to “disappear”? There’s more to street naming than you realize . . . learn how to drill-down to street information to improve your genealogy research. We’ll review the history of street naming and learn how to break down street address data. We’ll cover street grid changes for towns and cities as well as how to track “missing” streets. Excellent! Thank you!
Excellent! Thomas always includes so much good info.
Excellent!! I love maps. I live in Bellingham, Washington, which was originally made up of four little towns. Since all four were situated on Bellingham Bay, the streets go every which way. There’s one street in particular that changes its name four times without a person having to actually leave the street! I’ve lived here all my life and sometimes I’ve even gotten lost because of the crazy zigzagging streets. Plus, there’s a creek that runs through the middle of town that doesn’t help any.
Excellent, worth repeating

It was great. would like to watch it again
It was so helpful having the syllabus/handout for the webinar during the 24 hour marathon. The format Thomas used in the handout is excellent with topics and all the Resources listed at the end. Suggestion: Have every presenter next year have a handout similar to Thomas’s one. Then people can concentrate on the webinar instead of taking a lot of notes.
Learned about several websites I didn’t know
Lots of good info. Great job.
Lots of great clues for me for those unanswered mysteries. I did track down one house and sadly google earth showed me it was now an entrance ramp to the interstate, but it ended my search … finally.
