About this webinar

Genealogy best practice is to start with you, and who better to introduce yourself to future generations than YOU? In this webinar, we will go beyond factual information typically found in family trees to include the essence of who you are. Using easy and fun writing prompts, you will learn to create a unique and revealing written portrait of yourself. You can also share these prompts with other family members, adding their written portraits to your family tree. Your future generations will get to know you, and thank you!

I particularly like the suggestions about starting by capturing moments to comprise a story. Writing about individual themes then assembling them into a larger narrative.

This was a wonderful combination of interactive and informative presentation. Usually short writing prompts are very uncomfortable for me, but these were great!

I would like to see a continuation webinar of this. Brenda was not able to have us do all the prompts she wanted to and I think it would have been great to do so.

That was a great webinar. I really liked the timed events and the interaction for/from all. I think one can apply what Ms. Hudson was teaching in virtually all of one’s writing. As a subscriber, I will definitely go listen to this one again (& try all the “homework” again as well).

I love how Brenda gave us an exercise and we boiled the content down into a clearer view of what is in my brain to give me a clearer focus. I have something concrete I can take with me as a result of her “hands on” exercise. I feel so much more motivated now!
