About this webinar

The Western Front was the main theatre of war during World War One. A 400-plus mile stretch of land weaving through France and Belgium it became the place where the Allied armies battled under horrific conditions first the British from 1914 then joined by the Commonwealth countries then the USA in 1917. The conditions were horrendous. A truly industrialised war with shrapnel, gas and bombs. Disease was also an issue with specific diseases due to the trench conditions.
