About this webinar
The Oregon Trail extended approximately 2,000 miles from Independence, Missouri to Oregon City, Oregon from 1840 to 1869. More than 50,000 people traveled to Oregon and a great number died on the journey. This talk will cover resources for conducting research on the people and their lives along the trail.

I learned a great deal about the trail route and the experiences of some who traveled it. Appreciate the handout with the extensive research resources she provides.
Excellent webinar. I found this very interesting even tho the family I am researching split-off and headed to California.

Very interesting history! Next time I read my great uncle's book, "Saddles East" (he rode the Oregon Trail in reverse, on horseback) the locations will be so much more interesting.
