About this webinar

What is Inferred chromosome mapping and how can you use it to help narrow down DNA matches and assign DNA to ancestors? Inferred matching relies on DNA segment data so it\’s important to understand how it works before attempting to use it. This webinar will take a deep dive into this special DNA technique and demonstrate how to do it, how to get the most out of it and how to avoid common mistakes.

This was one of the most helpful webinars. My sister passed away without completing her DNA autosomal test, and Michelle gave hints for using her offsprings’ DNA to make inferences. Her offspring are finally tested and it is time to try it out. I’ll have to watch this video multiple times, I believe, to really get it down. Appreciate it!

Thank you so much for this webinar. I had already used DNA Painter but didn’t understand inferred mapping. By listening to this webinar and paying careful attention to the examples, I have finally grasped it! I have just painted my first two inferred matches and been able to assign them to an ancestor – success!!

Excellent high-level DNA matching explanations. I added much to my knowledge. I’m not sure I’ll be doing DNA painting anytime soon, but it’s always good to add to my DNA understanding.
