Tales of illegitimacy, divorce, and desertion aren't limited to soap operas and modern reality television. Discovering trails that lead to unanticipated events can be shocking, confusing, and exciting all at the same time. This session will explore how genealogists can utilize the law, conflict resolution, and tools like date calculators and timelines to help build a clearer understanding of some potentially challenging historical situations.

Thank you, Jennifer! Excellent handout, presentation & very interesting case studies! Thanks to BCG for providing the wonderful presenters & the opportunity to hear them.
What an outstanding presentation! And thank you, Jennifer, for the wonderful resources!
Wonderful presentation, very effective speaker. Loved her asides that gave some life without ever losing track of the point. I fell in love with the story about Tom and Jenny. The sweetness of that photo is a great reminder that what may look one way on paper might be something else: sometimes sad or tragic, but in this case, joy. This is giving me motivation to write up some of my work.
The presenters are all well prepared. The contents are informative. The research methods are the key to success.
It was fascinating and fun and I learned so many new techniques! I can't wait to start using some on my road blocks. Jennifer Zinck is an incredible speaker and I loved the the bits of humor she used throughout. Her handouts were outstanding.
A fabulous lineup of speakers and case studies along with interaction and techniques!! Thank you so much, everyone needs to watch these!! Wow!
Questions beget questions! I have learned to even question those "facts" that have no readily apparent reason to be incorrect. "Logical" does not necessarily mean "accurate."
Really appreciated the tips on how to resolve conflicts in the information gathered.
