A very heartfelt and personal webinar.

A very personal and moving webinar–many thanks for sharing your stories, Geoff.

A very special & touching webinar! Geoff is such a caring man. Thank you very much.

Absolutely exceptional story that everyone should take time to watch! I ssupect that many of us share similar stories of discovery. Thank you for baring your soul and sharing your story!

Always interesting. I appreciate that Geoff is 125% committed to genealogy!

Amazing connection (Thank you Geoff!) illustrating that we do indeed have help in “finding” our ancestors and sharing them with generations to come.

Amazing to hear these stories, and yes, I get choked up, too, when I think of what some of my ancestors went through. I use WikiTree, and on one profile, I still haven’t been able to get into words how devastated a family must have been when they lost all three of their children to diphtheria in less than a month. Whatever we can do to honor them has to be a good thing.

Awesome–shows how we are all connected and why we all get emotional when we find someone.

Beautiful memories. Thanks so much for sharing them. These kinds of things happen when I am ready to give up on a line an move on. Glad to know I’m not alone.

Best ever. thanks you for being brave enough to share your personal stories. I am sure everyone has been touched in a positive way.

Best one ever! I felt like their spirits were right there with us! Amazing! Thanks!

Best one yet Geoff has given.

Best webinar you’ve ever done, Geoff! I so appreciate your sharing of your heart and yourself through your stories. Beautiful!

Emotional and well received. Thank you for sharing such personal feelings.

Excellent of course – is there anything less, ever? Geoff’s humanity shines through in everything he does, whether it’s hosting a webinar, presenting, writing… I was honoured to share in his stories. And the chat log was full of more stories as well. Yes, sometimes we experience genealogical serendipity, and we can learn to listen more. Thanks for the reminder and a heart-sourced webinar, from Geoff. (Thanks Marian for your background work as well in the Chat Log.)

Excellent webinar! Geoff, you had my attention from start to finish. I only wish that more men could be as sensitive as you are. Thanks for sharing your feelings with us and thank you for every webinar!

Excellent. It was easy to see that your heart is turned. My ancestors speak to me as well. Yes, do genealogy first.

Family history is emotional! Your emotion is what made this webinar very informative; and, the heartful connections are felt in many, and with many.

Geoff – Thank you for opening yourself to share your experiences and love of genealogy. Your vulnerability is refreshing.

Geoff expressed some very powerful emotions today… ones that we all share, which is why genealogy is so much more than just a “hobby”. This goes to the very essence of who we are as connected human beings, and I’m grateful that Geoff was strong enough to share it all with us. I’m not a Mormon, but feel the pull of my ancestors just as strongly. He has put a theological framework around the beliefs i hold on my own, from the perspective of a different faith. Great webinar today…

Geoff, 5 isn’t high enough!!! I was touched deeply by your making yourself so vulnerable. It takes a lot of courage and faith to disclose publicly who you are, how your inner life is affected by your joy from genealogy, and how the spirit has led you on your journey. Don’t be embarrased by displaying your emotions…your tears. You have disclosed to those of us fortunate enough to be in the family room today the “real” Geoff Rassmussen. I value you much more for letting me see, feel and hear you. Bless you!

Geoff’s passionate drive and connection with his ancestors was richly evident today. Thanks, Geoff, for your wonderful story. You are a gifted teacher.

Great webinar, Geoff!! Really enjoyed hearing of your experiences and it encouraged me to continue looking for some of my brick walls or perhaps I should call them Research Opportunities. 😉

I almost passed up the opportunity to watch this webinar live; but logged and realized it was one of the most powerful hours in my life…thank you Geoff, we love you…

I appreciate hearing about another person’s “why” and the connection he feels to his people. So many people do not understand why I do what I do, and Geoff did a great job relating his experiences. I needed some tissues, too. I miss my grandmothers!!!!

I have a deep respect for Geoff. He is doing good and doing it well.

I really enjoyed the webinar. Geoff was a great host, even though he was a little emotional. (SMILE!!) You managed to maintain your professionalism even still. Thank you for sharing your faith with us. That was a special part of the webinar and it helped me to understand the Mormon faith better in regards to genealogy!

I too feel something calling me and I have a number of stories myself. Thanks Geoff, for sharing. I don’t feel so alone now in my pursuit of my ancestors.

I’ve been wiping the tears away for the whole hour and a half.

Please dont edit this webinar!! Leave it just the way it is. Your heart was speaking YOU and your feelings is what makes this webinar so real and great. You are speaking for all of us who love genealogy and dont know how to put our feelings into words. You are our voice!! I for one, thank God for you. Thanks Geoff.

So, so emotional for all of us. Yes I have often wondered if some of my ancestors have not been trying to speak to me in different ways. I can only hope so. Thank you Geoff for sharing your personal stories with us.

Superb! The passion and emotion displayed by Geoff was very moving. Stories that humanize our ancestors are what make genealogy more than the collection of dates… they bring them to life for us and help give more insight into who we are and where we came from. Thank you for showing your heart and soul…. I am truly blessed to have been a part of this webinar.

This is the most inspiring family tree webiner (or any genealogical presentation) that I have had the privilege to attend.

This was a totally unexpected seminar with realism one doesn’t generally observe without it being doctored for production. Excellent!

This was one of the most heartfelt webinars I’ve ever seen/heard. This is just the way I feel about my family genealogy…I let my heart lead me and pay so much attention to my ‘gut’ feelings on where it leads me. Thank you so much for the presentation…turned out to be one of my favorites so far! From someone who ‘gets’ this crazy thing we all call genealogy…ancestor hunting! I’ve not turned my family yet, but keep trying…they still get the ‘glazed over’ look when I start talking about it!

Very emotional. I too have had serendipity moments! When we were in Ireland, hunting for cemeteries, made a “wrong turn” and the “turn around” was in the entrance to a cemetery at the end of our day. THAT is where my people were calling us from! Thanks for sharing, Geoff.

What a humbling experience today …. thank you Geoff for sharing your special family moments that are obviously so very close to your heart.

What an incredibly moving hour. I will never be the same.

Wow Geoff! That was such an incredible webinar. I’m going to get our whole family to watch it. Thank you for sharing. I was in tears as well nearly the whote time. I was deeply touched.
