Thank you all for your kind comments and valuable feedback! Good to hear that the webinar provided practical tips for searching in Norwegian archives, and that many of you found new methods to explore. It’s encouraging to hear that even seasoned researchers learned something new, and that beginners found the content accessible and helpful. For those feeling a bit overwhelmed, I encourage you to revisit the handouts and recordings—take it one step at a time.

This webinar was especially helpful because the presenter gave some very specific examples of search methods as they relate to the sites he was using. It can be very difficult with any new site, but more so with ones in foreign languages. I will retry searching the Digital Archives of Norway using some of his hints and hope to have some new and/or better results!

I learned so many new techniques for researching in Norway! I have some sites I did not know about before to explore and I learned how to effectively search the national archive site for parish registers in a specific city. I wasn’t aware I could do one search to cover all the parishes in the city rather than searching parish by parish for the correct one.
