Martin Blythe is the Head of Bioinformatics at Living DNA and oversees the day-to-day processing and analysis of personal genomic data for the Living DNA Your Ancestry direct-to-consumer DNA test. He is also a member of the development team that produces the analysis methods and pipeline applications that are used to process personal genomic data. Martin was awarded his PhD by the University of Reading in 2007 for his research into The
Computational Analysis of Antibody Binding Sites conducted at The Edward Jenner Institute for Vaccine Research. He subsequently moved to the US to join The La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology in California as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, before returning to England to take up another Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at The University of Nottingham in 2009, this time in the Next Generation Sequencing Facility; DeepSeq. Martin left Nottingham in 2015 before joining Living DNA in early 2016.
