Carrie Keele is the author of the popular Not Your Mother’s Genealogy Blog. Despite being DearMYRTLE’s daughter, Carrie swore she would never do genealogy. However, she found her first probate record on microfilm at the age of ten. From 2009-2011, Carrie has served as the administrative assistant for the Utah Genealogical Association, including work with UGA’s annual Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy. Carrie’s background informs her interest in all things technical — be it blogging, photography, webinars or social media. Now an avid genealogist, Carrie seeks to bridge the generation gap to preserve family heritage. Carrie is past president of her school PTA and now serves at the council level. She, her husband and two children reside in Sandy, Utah.
