About this webinar

Had thought by the title that it would have been about the British soldier in Canada during the war of 1812. And because it was part of the Oh Canada series. However the talk was very interesting and the handout great

I appreciate the logical detailed approach to how to fine records.

I learned a lot from this talk.

I learned a lot. Thank you.

I misunderstood what the webinar was about. My ancestors in the War of 1812 were from the US. As far as I know I don’t have any British soldiers.

I was totally transfixed as I have had trouble actually getting the information to show up on the national archives. So Thank you

Information overload! Seriously, it was an eye opener about what records are available. In my research to date I’ve just picked up bits that I’ve found on Ancestry or FindMyPast. Takes patience and focus to work through the National Archives records – but apparently very rewarding.

    Interesting webinar Thanks

Very good for British soldiers, however I was hoping that this would include the residents of Canada who were in the militia for the War of 1812. Got valuable information about the British point of view, so still worthwhile.
