Excellent explanatory of better researching for the newbie genealogist and not so newbie. I’ve been researching for four years and I should have done this education at the start. However, better late than never. Thank you Cyndi for your brilliant seminar.

Cyndi is a superb teacher – very clear and encouraging with a good sense of humour. She always inspires me to improve my research skills and not be put off by paying attention to the ‘housekeeping’ side of research (filing etc) and to the processes of research (reading the About pages, understanding the archive I’m looking in etc)

Was very informative. Did not realize within the search you could find out about the site prior to going into it. Lots of good info.

Cyndi was excellent as usual. Reminding me to log all searches, just get lazy. Also to log all the ways I search.

Excellent tips. I found the intro material on data, databases, and search engines less helpful than examples of search tips. Perhaps more specific examples of what good note-taking actually looks like would have been nice. I have a habit of keeping a chronological set of handwritten notes, but I’m thinking I need to go digital with my note-taking.

I have selected 16 webinars. 3/16 of the 24, Done! This is my first 24-HOUR WEBINAR MARATHON. It’s making for a rushed day but So Much valuable information, I think I can be prepared for it in future years. Turn the phone off, set the alarms… And Cyndi Rocked It, as she normally does. I get Really Lazy about doing some parts of research, but the job isn’t done until the paperwork is finished. I Do Understand that ‘if I don’t do it right the first time, I Will be doing it over’ as Cyndi pointed out.
