    Excellent material – Merci!

    Excellent presentation!

    Excellent presentation.

    excellent resource and information

    Excellent webinar

    Excellent webinar!

Excellent webinar. Will definitely listen to it again and the upcoming two Parts. Thank you.

It’s always cool to have ‘homework’ we can use to practice with, too – great idea!!

Excellent. I spend the majority of my time researching in French records. I learned something new today that may help research a mystery. Really looking forward to the next 2 sessions.

    Fabulous examples!

Fantastic webinar with lots of very useful information for researching French ancestors.

Full of information. Paul is an excellent presenter.

    good resources!

    Great

    great detail and examples

    Great Information!

Great presentation! I have a good starting point and understand how their records were kept and where to look. I look forward to more webinars on this topic.

Great sites to start my French ancestor search. Really like the homework provided.

Great teacher, makes you feel able to conquer this stuff.

He really made French Genealogy understandable and accessible!

I have no French Ancestors that I have found yet but this is good to know. Thanks

I haven’t really started on my french side because it looked so intimidating, now I think I can start!! Thank you.

I learned so much! I appreciate the websites as well. I’m looking forward to seeing another webinar with Paul again!

I love concept of homework-a great way to practice what was presented. Looking forward to parts 2 & 3.

I love the fact that he included exercises for hands-on learning. More webinars should do this — an excellent way to learn a new skill!!

I was interested to note that Paul was able to read the ‘old French’ records. I discovered these old records are not able to be translated by many French speaking people and ended up using a specialist translating service. Perhaps this could be mentioned in future webinars etc.

    Impressive

Incredible list of resources. Very few presentations are available on French research. Kudos!

Looking forward to the next two parts of this series! Thank you.

    Lots of good information

Lots of great information. Thank you!

Lots of valuable information, high energy, and crystal clear video/audio. Definitely kept me interested.

    Love the homework

Oh my what a good webinar. I learned a lot about researching in France. Thank you

One of the best ever. I especially like the practice homework. It was a little hard to follow everything at a quick pace when you’re not familiar with the French language.

One of the best genealogy webinars I’ve attended recently. Well organized and a really thorough overview of the resources and how to use them. With the withdrawal of FHL films, using the French archive websites and other digital resources is just about the only way to do this research without traveling to France. I think it would have been useful to provide a high level illustration of the relationships between the tables décennales and actes on one high-level slide.

Paul is an excellent communicator! Excellent webinar! First task for me (as a result of this webinar) is to research my sixth great grandparents and my seventh great grandparents who were French Lutherans in Alsace using Paul’s guidance. Thanks Paul and Geoff!

Paul is an excellent teacher! Thank you so much!

Paul W. was excellent… So well done.. a lot of information. Thank you. I will be joining for a month.. so as to be able to view his webinars.

Paul was a joy to listen to and his instruction were clear and easy to understand.

Recently found out I have French ancestors, so this is a great help, especially since I don’t know any French! Thanks!

So informative. I can’t wait for parts two and three! Thank you so much.

So much information to process…..thanks, Paul! Plus it was lovely listening to someone with a beautiful accent.

So very interesting, gained so much new information that I can use the next time I am searching in France.
The information and presentation were excellent

    Tres Bien. Merci Beaucoup Geoff!

very enjoyable to learn vastly new resources as I specialize in Irish genealogy for clients. Amidst my own Irish ancestors I found one French ancestor, so this kind of research is new territory for me.

Very informative for those who are not familiar with these types of documents, not so much for those who are used to FrenchCanadian BMS records. However, very good explanation of the intricacies and challenges of understanding the structure of French localities and where to look for records. Look forward to part II

    Very informative.

Very informative. I have done quite a bit of work in Quebec records, so I am excited to work my way back into French records. Thanks!!!

Very interesting and lots of good resources.

Very knowledgeable and personable. We all learned a lot but so much to take in it could have been split into two sessions. Look forward to checking out the part 2 and 3.

Very nice presentation. Efficient use of his time. The extra exercises were a nice addition.

Very thorough! The presenter provided a great deal of expertise and many helpful tips.

Well organized, good info, good resources. Thanks.

Wonderful presentation with great resources and tips! I spend a great deal of time researching online in the Archives départementales du Nord et du Pas-de-Calais and it was fun to go in with Paul. I look forward to part 2 and 3.

Wow, loved this one. I am going to try the homework before I try working on my French line. Learned so much from Paul and can’t wait for part 2 and part 3.
