An amazing feat due to the lack of Irish historical records. Her success was thanks to a newfound Irish Daly relation, extensive cemetery research, and a local historian. The webinar provides creative ways to break down an Irish research brick wall.

Very inspiring presentation from Eliza Watson! The only thing I know (or have heard) about my Griffith ancestors is they were born in Cork, Ireland, had three children in Ireland and by 1849 were in PA where my great-grandfather was born, passing through on their way to Wisconsin. I haven’t been able to locate any records about their time in Ireland. I also have nothing on who their parents or siblings were. I’ll be watching this presentation again looking for any tips I might be able to pursue.
Great story teller! I loved Eliza story and how she found her Coffey relatives. I hope there is another webinar for when she finds her Daly’s because I am one too. This was encouraging and I hope listening to Eliza in a future webinar will help me discover more information about my 4x great grandfather James Daly came to America in the late 1700’s. It is only in the last couple of years that I discovered I had Irish Ancestry in a Gt Grandfather. I was so excited. I loved that Eliza shared photos of her trips to Ireland and especially the ones with people in them as one can see the familial likenesses. I have yet to get here, I am in New Zealand, but it is on the bucket list. Thanks for all the sharing and ideas on how to go about getting info.
What a wonderful presentation. Eliza is wonderful, telling about going thru windows to get into the home I thought. well done you!!!! If only we could all go to Ireland and have the “luck” that Eliza did. I would love to hear another presentation from her.
