I started with my great-grandparents, and when I got to my mother's level, I chose her brother as #3. When I list the children, they are my first cousins. So you can certainly start with the GGPs, and take a path that doesn't end up with yourself. I did this because if I started at the 2GGP level, the records are very sparse, and my goal was to meet the BCG requirements in the least painful way.
As always Judy Russell does a great job. I always feel that the day has been worthwhile if I have learned something new. I has been a worthwhile day.
