I already use TextExpander a lot in transcribing but I still learned a lot here, and it inspired me to start using features I knew about but hadn’t used. Thank you so much! This was one of the most useful webinars I’ve attended.

I use TextExpander for work and figured this webinar would give me ideas of a few snippets I can use for genealogy. But I’ve learned so many tips and tricks that will help me on the work side of things as well! So handy!

Very good presentation. I would just like to note that many of the functions of Text Expander are already present in WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, etc and indeed LEGACY itself (e.g. templates, automatic date expansion, master lists). For someone spending a lot of time on repetitive tasks, like Christine in her business, the location of all these aids in the one piece of software is a clear advantage; for the occasional genealogist, I am not so sure the time-saved to set-up time ratio is quite as beneficial.

I love when Legacy Webinars shows a way for researchers to save precious time when we are doing genealogy. This was one of the best “tech” webinars that has been presented. It was informative with a demonstration using Text Expander that sold me on the value of this program to help me when I am writing letters, emails, family histories and many other mundane tasks. With each use, the time you would save every day could add up to many more hours that can be spent on research. Thank you for this webinar.

I’m biased. I was the intended co-presenter. But Christine represented us well and I was proud to be a part of it. Thank you for the opportunity! 🙂
