This presentation will demonstrate how to do surname searches effectively in the various Australian state and territory archives as well as the National Archives of Australia. The online catalogue platforms differ from archive to archive and not all indexes are incorporated into the catalogues. This means there may be two places to search. Digging for Surnames will highlight effective ways to search in the various archives.
