From starting with themselves and working backwards, to tools like pedigree charts and family group sheets, this lecture will be the help one needs to feel confident the right foundation is set to begin one's genealogical journey.
Tammy Priolo resides in Alliston, Ontario with her husband. She was born and raised in North Bay Ontario, graduated from the University of Guelph with a BASc Honours and received her PLCGS with Distinction from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies in partnership with FIS University of Toronto. She has 27+ years’ experience in the genealogical field, volunteering for the local FHC for nine years, opening her business ‘The Ancestor Investigator’ in 2000, consulting, researching, teaching, writing (since 1997), publishing, creating and producing genealogy educational workshop tools, attending many seminars, as well as lecturing Nationally and Internationally on various genealogical topics in person and via webinars. She has written and published two Genealogy motivation books called The Ancestor Whisperer & The Ancestor Whisperer Attic Treasures. She is a member of the Mattawa/Algonquin First Nations, Association for Professional Genealogists (APG), Ontario Chapter APG-(Past Chair), Ontario Genealogical Society (fulfilling many volunteer positions with them), Genealogical Speakers Guild and an Ancestry.ca Advisory Board member. She specializes in Canadian, Ontario, Quebec, Native & French-Canadian research with research also conducted in Great Britain, Ireland, USA & Italy.
